Summary
The "Agency" is an intelligence agency of the US Government.

Six months ago, the deputy director of the agency's Special Operations Division authorised the creation of a new Special Ops project known as Project Phoenix. This project was responsible for the funding and training of an anti-Russian movement based in Azerbaijan. The training during the project came from US ex-special forces personnel and consisted of training in covert operations in order to carry out strikes against Russian military units and establishments. Training also covered the usage of chemical warfare, using a VX nerve agent known as TX60.

However, details of the project were exposed several months after it had begun. Colin Anderson, the agency's Director, ordered the immediate shutdown of the project. Further more, investigation in to the project revealed that what appeared to be an anti-Russian movement was in fact a Russian ultra-nationalist group with an entirely different agenda.

Anderson now has a tough decision on his hands. Inform the President of the current situation and of how a rogue agency deputy director funded and trained a Russian ultra-nationalist group, or deal with the crisis within the walls of Langley and sweep the remains under the carpet. The latter was the chosen option.

It was decided that elements of the agency's Special Activities Division (S.A.D), with the authorisation to use Georgian airspace would use Chinooks to enter across the Azerbaijan border from Turkey and hit the training camp with a surprise attack. Intelligence agencies within Azerbaijan were informed of the situation and were asked to provide additional support.

The operation required the agency's S.A.D, with the support of a local Azerbaijani military force to carry out a surprise raid on the training camp with the following objectives:

• Eliminate all Russian ultra-nationalists
• Eliminate all US weapon technicians
• Identify the location of all weapon caches and destroy them
• Recover the four boxes of TX60 nerve agent canisters
• Eliminate all air defence batteries within the camp
• Secure the satellite communication hardware
• Locate all intel which could provide information on the ultra-nationalists intentions.

Looking forward to this event, and i've already left messages for some of my mates. And I will also be seeing others members of team-awa to see who wants to join this event.

But you can count me in for sure as i've already booked the dates off from work a couple of weeks ago, thanks to finding out the info on team-hmw website.

will also hopefully be looking forward to meeting up with other people i've meet from other ta events at this one.

Is this event going to be hard routine or will there be chance for people driving long distances to sleep over night

Will be good to see you at the event Valan.

There is no doubt it will a hard, fast and furious weekend. But there will be an area set aside for drivers to rest and sleep away from the action.

Battle Dress Uniform

Agency SAD operative's
Desert DPM. Or some variant on khaki/tan private contractor style clothing. Or Multicam.


Local Government force's
Desert DPM (preferably British DPM to have some consistency)


Russian Ultra-Nationalist's
Green DPM, such as British DPM or US Woodlands, or O/D clothing



Where does Flectarn fit in. It doesn't! No disrespect to those who use Flectarn, but it does not fit with the BDU requirements of this particular event. Sorry.

The same rule applies to ACU.

NOTE: Only snipers wearing ghille suits.

Quick thoughts though

• Does woodland MARPAT come under the green cammo?
• Id be guessing desert MARAPT will come under the desert bit (mentioning these as you made a point of ruling out both Flecktarn and ACU)
• Would it not be better to have the first team any desert other than DPM and the second only DPM?

Well the definitive answer cannot be had till Ian returns from holiday in OZ , however look at it this way we would prefer that the local support group drawn from the Azerbaijan armed forces are all wherever possible in british desert dpm to give them the uniformed look that a unit from a nations army should have. The SAD punters can be in any kind of dessie cam or dessie/brown coloured kit - however ACU is not allowed on realism grounds - if the SAD were going on a secret deniable op to clear up an embarrassing problem without anyone knowing about it they would not do so in US "issue " uniforms so on that note dessie marpat should be out with ACU. Tri colour dessie is ok as it is out of date and was used and still is by many countries worldwide.
If your a marpat man may i suggest wearing green marpat on the russian ultra nationalist side? ( again we would prefer DPM to give a more uniformed look to this very well funded and organised group but it is flexible )
It's all about trying to give the game more realism and sperate the different groups playing in this storyline which is set to expand into many other events and in different directions
