My worst fears have become reality.

Sometime between late last week and the early part of this week, two military bids were put in to use CDV on the same week as Phoenix Rising II.

As always at Copehill, military bids always take priority over civilians bids, and so this has led to me losing the village.

I will now be seeking to use the village during 2009 instead.

That is the bad news, but there is some good news.

Phoenix Rising is still looking like it will go ahead but it will now take place at Sennybridge instead 3 weeks earlier on the weekend of the 15/16 November 2008.

A provisional bid has now been placed for Sennybridge and confirmation will arrive by the middle of next week and this will allow the bookings to open on Friday 26 September.

Price and availability will remain the same, however the scenario will change but the rules will remain the same.

The PR2 website will be updated over the course of the weekend.

The new scenario will be based on an attack of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline which pumps oil from the Caspian sea through to Ceyhan in Turkey.

Azerbaijan forces have been deployed all along the Azerbiajan segment which extends across 10 miles north of the Nagorna Karabakh region.

Losing CDV is a major disappointment but could not be helped. It was looking quite safe and thus the reason I advertised it but I sure you can understand why I was holding back on releasing the tickets because there was always a risk of losing it to a military unit that has higher priority.

But the show will still go on....
