First of, thank you to everyoine involved for a great day. Myself, Darren and Iain thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we were only filming!!

Secondly, we managed to clock up over 3 hours of footage from the event (which will be edited down but will provide a good length video) and 130 stills. These are all going onto the TA DVD which you could have pre-ordered for £5 today but if you would now like to order a copy for £7 (well done to those that saved money ordering today!), please email me on simon_eyeball@hotmail.com and I will email you an order form.

Thanks again to all the guys and especially to all the players who provided us with so much great footage, I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to own the DVD as it will only be available for a few weeks...

I am hoping to get it done by the end of next week, although given the FANTASTIC amount of footage we got, that may be a little flexible - there are only so many hours in the day!

I tell you what will help with the marketing on the DVD is a trailer.... try to get together some snippets of some good action string it together for a 3 min trailer and pimp it over the net and TA website, I think then you will get plenty of future orders coming through as people will have a taste of whats to come.

Not sure if this was something you were planning on doing anyway?

Trailer looks kewl, only 1 question.

Whats with the cheesy gun sound effects? Definitely detracts from the otherwise well put together video. At least make it so you can turn them off on the DVD plz.

Really like the trailer, in a way I think the sound effects in places do add to it rather than that horrible gearbox whirl!

Simon's brief leading up to the game was to do the filming in such a way that people would not think of it as an Airsoft event, but instead as filmed war coverage. We did not want to see players walking back to the deadzone, we did not want to see players having a laugh in between the action. we want to see intense fire-fights, we wanted to feel the urgency of an attack and we wanted to feel the battle we was watching.

So I think he decided to add the extra sound effects in light of our brief.

I think they work well love the land rover speeding past!

Oh i do hope the assault on the police stn is on film!

i love the trailer i can not wait for the full dvd going to be cool hopefully i might be on it

Mixed thoughts on the real-steel sounds.

Hmmm

Luckily for some I WONT have enough time to go through the entire film (when finished) and put all the sounds on, so what you hear will be pear gearbox!!

On the flip side, I may put a shorter music video together which will be more theatrical. I can then put the option to have real steel sound effects on this shorter one as an extra DVD audio track.

Clever no!?

Hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Simon is editing the 3 to 4 hours of footage, but he also has a full time job as well.

One minute of film on the DVD takes 1 hour of editing and post production effort. Its going to take time and a sheer load of effort.

But the results will be worth it.
