Hey lads,

I intend this thread to be a discussion for the Rebel side to talk about their loadouts, make comments and suggestions.

Now I've been getting rather excited about TA2, (Really?!) and to look the part of the Rebel I'm starting with getting an uprated AK. Well it's all well and good to have the right looking weapon, but I've got to go the whole way and make the look complete.

Now I understand that any kind of Urban BDU (well, any kind of anything) is allowed, as long as it's not green, but I'm still not entirely convinced that I'd enjoy that;

Intended loadout thus far;

AK47S
Glock 18C w/ Holster
BDU trousers (this part I feel is more flexible, urban camo would look good on the lower half)
Black Boots
Rhino Gloves
Shemagh for headgear and/or Black Balaclava
Guarder C2 Shooting Glasses

Now what I'm not sure on is the upper body; most people have said "Black Jumper" and I agree that it is more fitting than a full BDU w/ matching Boonie and sprayed M4A1, but I'd just like to hear some peoples suggestions.

If you're going "Eastern Block" as it were, take a look at the wide variety of Russian BDU's available - or go for a black jumper as its a nice cheap alternative.

Yeah, this I had considered... but I was also hoping to some (shade of) uniformity other than "Not Green".

I dunno, if most people are going in Battle Dress, I may do the same, I'm just interested to hear what other people have interpreted the Rebel Loadout as.

Brit desert DPM works well in most urban environments.
US Tri colour or Desert MARPAT as well.
Not sure how the Arid CADPAT would work but I've no reason to think it wouldn't.

Tropentarn is OK in areas with plent of pebbledash but normal Urbam may not be as good. That won't stop me using it though.

Sorry, having reread you post - I suspect that like last year most people will go in Desert combats, and the remainder will be split roughly 50/50 in either blacks or civvies. Although to be honest, most of those in civvies will probably be doing a PMC/CIA/Assorted others paramilitary loadout, rather than every day civvies.
I'm not sure that last bit made sense but anyway...

I think I follow... I'll just get me some Urban trousers and a Black Zip-Front that's a tad too Large for me (to allow for clothes underneath).

Anyone else wanna include their loadout?

The true SAS Resi (for the time period) the SF10 is really hard to accquire so I have been playing with a few S10s removing the SSM and putting in another NATO threaded receiver for 'cans'.

After the 1980 Seige no one really knows what assault vest replaced the seude vest. The Vanguard meets my requirements for load carrying so I bought it. And Jungle boots or similar would be more practical for this time line (late 80's early 90's) but I am ploughing money into other areas!

I didn't include any Team ID tags as I have no red card!

pictures do not hint that all SAS troopers train as MMA fighters in their spare time..
