As I am sure you are all no doubt aware, Town Assault is a Flaghsip event in every sense of the term, and as such the eyes of the community are very much focused on our behaviour and success.

Now, as if that weren't pressure enough, we have been informed by Landmarc (who are responsible for maintaining and leasing the Majority of British Army Training Sites) that our behaviour and conduct at Copehill Down will directly influence the cost and feasbility of future Airsoft Events on Army Sites across the country by anyone not merely Town Assault.

With that In mind, I'm not going to ask participants to behave, I am going to tell them to do so.

Litter will be tidied up, the site will be treated with respect, every facility there will be used for its intended purpose and no other....in short we will respect their every wish as to the intended useage of the site and we will leave it in an acceptable state on Monday morning.

Further rules and guidelines will be publisehed here soon, so watch this space.

As regards to litter, do cyalumes and pyro's count. innocent.gif
Silly question but I should imagine quite a few will get thrown all over the place
Casper
Just take a few mins to help walk around on the Sunday after the game and help pick them up.
I'll be throwing plenty about myself, so I wouldn't expect others to have to pick up my share of them after it's all over.
All it takes is a few mins from all of us and the jobs done. smile.gif
Keldon
i shall pack some bin bags and be on my best behavior biggrin.gif
snip3r
will be bringing a couple of black bags and all for trash around our little camp bit on friday night and for helping to pick up trash from around the site on sunday
Warrior
I will make sure that the Battalion HQ has some bin bags in, for you to use when visiting.

Might be a silly question but still,....what do we do (if anything) about the BB's on the floors of the buildings?

Do we clean them up (brooms) after the event?

BB's might be very annoying to walk on if the floors are flat (concrete) and I belive personnel using the site might consider this a second biggest issue right after the trash.

Cyalumes and Discarded Pyro's do ineed count.

BB's are being taken care of after the event by a large team of dedicated helpers - many thanks to them.

Cracking Day
If you have petrol leaf blowers, bring them, blow the bb's into the corner and sweep them up!

Your help is recieved greatfully!

Copehill Down is a training village – designed to take knocks and lots of hard surfaces, broken ground, heaps of rubble etc. It is potentially a dangerous place, and must be treated with respect. Even in the heat of the moment, try to THINK BEFORE YOU ACT, and consider possible consequences…

Staircases may have uneven treads, or loose handrails – participants should familiarise themselves with any building they are using

All trap doors within building must remained closed for the duration, and all participants must make then selves aware of the location of these

All roofs and roof spaces are out of bounds

No open fires, except under the control of marshals and in approved burning trays (available from camp staff if required) – no tyres or other noxious substances to be burnt – only clean timber e.g. old pallets

No use of any building that is locked, and no attempt to enter any such building e.g. use of fixed ramps into high level confidence course buildings (nos 6 to 12)

No use of sewers or underground systems

No use of green latrines for event – they should be regarded as out of bounds except when required for toilet purposes (note: provide own toilet paper etc)

No waste to be disposed of in green latrines (this could result in a hefty bill for disposal of any waste when emptied, as all such contents become contaminated waste and will require special handling by outside waste contractors).

Will this (and all the other rules) be issued when we get there, or do I have to get my wife to read these forums (which I don't want her to do as she might find what I've posted in the totty thread ermm.gif )

Yes as we are running out of time and we have still quite a few things to sort out.

So, if we decide to sleep in-game.... where do we sleep - I would assume in a dedicated building or wherever we can find cover

Excluded lofts and roof's obviously!!!
