It being a MOD training ground and everything do we need to bring I.D. to get onto the site to prove we are who we say we are?

Cheers,

Yes.

what sort of i.d do we need? does it have to be passport/drivers licence or is it any?

Barrett .50
To be safe guys I would suggest some form of VALID photographic ID. Be it a driving licence or passport.

Be prepared as the last thing you want is to be turned away due to some dodgy bus pass from when you were 8.

will my student ID be acceptable? (it has my name, parents intials, picture, college etc)

i was going to bring my passport but its run out and has been disposed of dry.gif

We will be incharge of who goes in and out, you will need to bring some form of ID, just so you can be ticked off the list as you enter. Your vehicles will be left out side the village in the car park (currently home to 12 Challenger Tanks, 20 432's and a few warriors!) so you dont need to be taking vehilces in and out at all.

If you have kit that needs to go inside, there will be ferry vehicles running it back and forth for you.

Will a provisional drivers lisence be suffice, also will those challengers etc all be there on the weekend?
Cracking Day
A prov will be fine.

Tanks will be gone, i'll upload some pics.

A further question re. vehicle registration;

Do we need to register our vehicle details with you? I have been registerted as part of a group so you do not have these details from me if you need them.
ganjafarmer
if where comming in combats will we need to have our stuff(weapons) in the boot of the cars? and will we have to wear a civie jacket over combats on entry to the mod ground?
Cracking Day
I would advise wearing civy jackets over anything "army"

You do not need to advise vehilce registrations as they will NOT be going past the gate.
Kipper
you should never travel in full combats anyway

our CO got told by HQ that 'there are people around who like to give bullet rash to soldiers'

sorry, bullet rash?
rizzo
Similar to nappy rash, it comes from sitting on your ass and watching 'Bullit' too much.
AK
I'd prefer not to bring my passport as i'm scared of loosing it will my padi Diver's licence (diver not driver) be ok has name and age one although they missed out an 'R' or how about a photo copy of my passport.
ganjafarmer
ok BIG problem as im not going to bring my passport as needed soon and i can't afford to loose it so im not taking it. and i dont have any other forms of i.d.

what should i do?
ganjafarmer

You have not got another form of photographic ID?

Surely you can be trusted not to lose your passport for 24 hours.

nope i cant risk it as it will FUCK up all of my plans. will i only need it 1 time as i am being dropped off i can show them and leave it in the car? will that work?
Wolf_Raptor
talking about car park...is that where we are setting up tents etc for the weekend?
my gf is coming along (some ones gotta do the cooking! wink.gif.1 ) so she'l be in the tent area all the time.
Hero
Just to confirm that EVERYONE in the car will need ID, not just the driver?
Dan Breen
Another question regarding ID.
Does it have to be the original or would a photocopy suffice if it's just for your use rather then the MOD's?

This would save people worring about losing their passports.
